Raised in Small Town, Texas, home of the Mighty Mascots, Chandler remains friends with many of his classmates. Ok, technically, he’s from Cameron, Texas- home of the Mighty Yoemen, but he is still friends with classmates.

Having been on many cruises over the years, Chandler began planning and hosting onboard activities for social media “Meet and Greet” groups. Private Cocktail Parties and on board games and gift exchanges became the norm for almost any cruises he and his wife, Sandy, went on.

With a love for cruising, in 2015, he and his wife bought a Cruise Planners travel franchise and began planning and booking group travel, and combined the onboard planning with the group bookings. One such group included several classmates of the years around his class.

During this cruise, there was discussion about a “Class Reunion Cruise”. Now, when you are from Small Town, Texas, you get to know not only the people in your class, but also people from multiple classes ahead of and behind you. Limiting a reunion to just one class eliminates lots of friends and schoolmates that were a part of the Small Town, Texas school experience. Each class had friends and schoolmates from the three classes preceding it, as well as the three classes after it. When Chandler was a Freshman, his schoolmates included Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors ahead of him, and when he was a Senior, they included Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen behind him.

This makes it very difficult to “draw the line” at any point. So, the reunion expended to essentially a whole school reunion, which we offer today. Additionally, we take this opportunity to partner with one of the school Booster Clubs to raise funds. The Booster Club helps promote the cruise, and Affinity Cruising raises funds from the guests, as well as from the partner travel agent, Cruise Planners at SandlerTravel.com.

Chandler and his wife, Sandy, combine the group and reunion concepts with the onboard event planning to bring you, among other group experiences, a unique cruise, vacation, and class reunion experience, all wrapped in one!
